Caesars da la bienvenida a EBCI como socio en el desarrollo de un casino de 650 millones de dólares en Virginia

Caesars welcomes EBCI as partner in $650m Virginia casino development

Caesars Entertainment has rolled-out a partnership with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians regarding the development of a $650m casino resort in the Virginian city of Danville.

The project, one of four currently in progress within the state, is striving to be a “tourism engine and economic driver” that will create thousands of construction and operational jobs and hopes to debut during late 2024.

Caesars, EBCI and a local minority investor will be partners in the joint venture, with the casino and entertainment operator to serve as manager.

“This venture is a vital opportunity for our nation and our people,” commented Richard Sneed, Principal Chief of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.

“We are excited to be expanding our longstanding and successful partnership with Caesars Entertainment to develop a first-class resort that will be defined by luxury and service that Caesars’ guests have known and come to expect.”

The property will include a 500-room hotel and casino gaming floor that boasts in excess of 1,300 slots, 85 live table games, 24 electronic table games, a World Series of Poker room and a sportsbook.

Furthermore, the resort will feature a full-service spa, pool, high-quality bars and restaurants, a 2,500-seat live entertainment venue and 40,000 square feet of meeting and convention space.

“We are excited to build a world-class Caesars resort in Danville with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, a valued partner of Caesars Entertainment for more than 20 years,” said Anthony Carano, President and Chief Operating Officer for Caesars.

“Caesars’ diverse collection of destinations across the US is synonymous with unparalleled service, impressive benefits through our Caesars Rewards loyalty program, superstar entertainment talent and culinary excellence. We will bring these same phenomenal offerings to the Danville region for people to enjoy.”

Currently there are three other land-based casino developments proceeding in Virginia, those being across Norfolk, Portsmouth and Bristol, the operating partners of which are Pamunkey Indian Tribe, Rush Street Gaming, and Hard Rock, respectively.

Furthermore, it was revealed earlier this month that Urban One is to pursue running a second referendum campaign to approve the once defeated One Resort + Casino project in the 2023 election cycle due to language provided by the current Virginia budget.
